Java Grande/ISCOPE 2002 Special Issue of Concurrency and Computation:
Practice and Experience
So as in previous years, Concurrency and
Computation:Practice and Experience proposes to publish a special issue
for the Java
Grande/ISCOPE 2002 Conference. We propose to follow the process used in
previous years with fast journal turn around

Here is process and timeline for 2002
- Special Issue open to accepted papers and posters and other selected
papers
- Each author team agrees to referee 3 of their colleague's papers
- Think about what you learnt and submit journal version of paper by
January 15 2003
- There are no particular page limits other than what referees consider
reasonable
- Everything will be done electronically. Please submit PDF or
equivalent format (postscript,word) with abstract and title as text
- We will choose papers for individuals to referee based on any
preferences expressed.
- There will be 3 papers for each author team to referee
- Referee reports will be due mid March 2003 and sent to authors
- Final paper versions due end of May 2003

We will comision review articles on the key areas for Java Grande
ISCOPE. Suggestions are
- Java Compilation on the Node
- Java Numerics
- Parallel Computing support from Java
- Object Technology in Scientific Computing
- Distributed Computing in Java
- Java Performance
- Applications (from ISCOPE and/or Java point of view
