Subject: Paper Submission for Concurrency&Computation: Practice and Experience From: f.rabhi@unsw.edu.au Date: Mon, 23 Jul 2001 11:34:30 +1000 To: gcf@cs.fsu.edu Dear Geoff, Following our earlier email exchange, please find enclosed my paper submitted for "Concurrency&Computation: Practice and Experience". When reviewing the paper, please note: 1. The paper is more structured as a survey/tutorial than a traditional research paper. 2. Its main value is to broaden parallel processing researchers' thinking into considering a much wider perspective which encompasses distributed applications in general. 3. It is not exhaustive nor complete (it can't be, given the broad scope) but it has some value in explaining a lot of the jargon being used these days. 4. It is quite long, but structured in a way that makes it easy to skip sections for readers that are familiar with a particular research area. Having said that, I would welcome referees comments and I am prepared to make any changes if it is suitable for publication.
