Agreement has been reached with the Editors of Concurrency: Practice and Experience for a Special Issue on the PSTPA Programme (1994-98) to appear in Autumn 1998. The Special Issue is intended to focus on the technical achievements of the Programme and will publish papers of a substantial technical nature of about 12-15 journal pages in length. It is anticipated that there will be space for about 8-10 papers.

Submissions are now invited from PSTPA projects. All submissions should conform to the general aims and scope of the journal (see inside covers) and will be refereed according to the usual practice and standards of Concurrency: Practice and Experience. Authors may suggest up to 3 names of possible referees if they wish. Authors should also follow the notes for preparing and submitting manuscripts to be found on the inside back cover of each issue. Please note in particular that manuscripts should be double-spaced with wide margins.

The planned schedule is as follows:

31 March 1998 Deadline for submissions

15 May 1998 Deadline for referee's reports

31 May 1998 Selection and feedback to authors

30 June 1998 Final versions due

Autumn 1998 Special Issue published

1. a cover note indicating that the submission is intended for the Special Issue on the PSTPA Programme,
2. the contact author's name and full coordinates,
3. (if authors wish) up to 3 names, with full coordinates, of possible referees.
4. FOUR copies of the manuscript (note: one more for this Special Issue than the usual CPE journal requirement),
