Survey of High Performance Computing Systems
Survey of High Performance Computing Systems
Release 2.0
This is an ongoing
survey of High Performance Computing hardware systems.
Some are no longer available, some were never commercially available,
and some are household names. This survey is intended as a roadmap
to integrate the information about the HPC platforms and the
organizations that built them. Also, this roadmap provides more
information on those systems that are currently (as of Summer
98) more widely used.
The Information can be accessed by:
A
template entry for an organization producing HPC platform(s)
illustrates how the information is laid out. There are many cross
references incorporated into the basic material, and it is also
coupled to a glossary,
of HPCC.
Hyperlinks to other sites carrying out relevant
activities in
HPCC are also given. In particular,
benchmarking data for many of the systems described is available
from the National
Software Exchange. Some system vendors (of those still actively
providing systems) have their own WWW pages
at their own sites.
