Welcome to Virtual Programming Lab!

Welcome to the CPS-615 Virtual Programming Lab. These pages enable you to do the class labs using a web interface. You will not need to log in or type any Unix commands.

If you do not already have a VPL account, you may access the VPL typing in "guest" as the username with and skipping the password. Please note that the "guest" account has read privileges but no write permission. This prevents guest from using directory and file commands or saving their own files using the text editor. Please send e-mail to dincer@npac.syr.edu for requesting a regular VPL account.

Directory Manager

Allows you to manage your user directory, edit and/or view the lab files. Editing is done within the web window.

MPI Lab

Compile C or Fortran 77 codes with calls to the MPI library and run the resulting executables on the NPAC DEC Alphafarm.

HPF Lab

Compile Fortran 90 or HPF codes using DEC's compilers and run the resulting executables on the NPAC DEC Alphafarm.
