Multimedia-on-Demand

NPAC is a leader in the use of high performance multimedia servers (InfoVISION) for organizations such as NYNEX, Rome Laboratory, and Discovery Communications. Here a digital video database is accessible via NYNET, a high-speed ATM network. A web interface to a text search engine is used to retrieve and play video clips.
