How are you enjoying the flatlands where you can see forever? I met Pamela the other day. As you know, she is helping with the ACE Computer Camp at Syracuse University. I will help you in setting up the subcontract. Is this subcontract from a federal grant/contract? If so, the fringe benefit rate for Graduate Assistants is 12.7% (this rate does not include tuition). For non-federal grants/contracts the fringe benefit rate is 40% (rate includes tuition). In addition, for each of the students, we need to know the following: * Will they be working here at S.U. or at Indiana University? As you remember, the overhead rate is different for on-campus (51%) and off-campus (26%) research. * How many hours per week will the students be working? Normally, they work 20 hrs. per week. * How much do you want to pay each student for the A/Y 2001-02? * How many credit hours of tuition will each student be eligible to receive? Please let me know how many credit hours the students told you they need and we will verify this information. The remitted tuition rate for 2001-02 is $647 per credit hour. Dear Geoffrey,

I knew that you had moved to Indiana University at Bloomington.

In addition, for each of the students, we need to know the following:

  • Will they be working here at S.U. or at Indiana University?  As you remember, the overhead rate is different for on-campus (51%) and off-campus (26%) research.
  • How many hours per week will the students be working? Normally, they work 20 hrs. per week.
  • How much do you want to pay each student for the A/Y 2001-02?
  • How many credit hours of tuition will each student be eligible to receive?  Please let me know how many credit hours the students told you they need and we will verify this information.  The remitted tuition rate for 2001-02 is $647 per credit hour.
Carlos
