However, no one this Office has a clear understanding of the purpose of the proposed subcontract. You were given a courtesy appointment at FSU to oversee the completion of the ERDC and ASC contracts from CSC, as well as the contract from Raytheon. Dr. Erlebacher was added as a co-PI to assist with the CSC contracts. These actions were intended to eliminate the need for any subcontracts to Indiana. If you have students who are working on the contract and who need to be paid, you can pay them through the FSU payroll system as temporary OPS employees. We cannot pay their tuition at another university, but you can adjust their salary to compensate for the tuition between now and September 30, 2001. If you want FSU to subcontract to Indiana, we will need the following information from you for each subcontract: * contract number/FSU budget number * proposal from Indiana * statement of work * amount * budget (salaries, travel, etc., and indirect costs) * any potential subcontracts by Indiana to another entity must be brought to our attention If you have any questions, please let me know.
