This is the *second* paper I would like to submit for the Java Grande
special issue. The paper is entiteled "More Efficient Serialization
and RMI for Java"

The paper combines the content of the IPPS paper on the faster
serialization and the San Francisco paper on the faster RMI.

Since I don't know how much reviewing will go on, I'll send the postscript
file together with all the LaTeX source files. I`ll attach (uuencoded) a
gzipped tar file that will expand to the following files:
