Subject: JGSI Review "The jCrunch Java Numerical Libraries" Resent-Date: Mon, 11 Oct 1999 08:25:31 -0400 Resent-From: Geoffrey Fox Resent-To: p_gcf@npac.syr.edu Date: Tue, 05 Oct 1999 21:40:21 +0900 From: "ISHIZAKI, Kazuaki" To: Geoffrey Fox Sorry. It is hard to review it. It this enough ? BTW, when can we get the results or comments ? I do not recommend this paper will be acceptable. 1) INSIGHT: The authors describe design of Java Numerical Libraries. 2) INTEREST: Nothing. 3) NOVELTY: The package is implemented using native broker that allows a user to select subroutines dynamically. 4) SOUNDNESS: It is difficult to be confident about soundness. Mainly, it is described related to interface. 5) TECHNIQUE: I do not understand techniques from the presentation. 6) PRESENTATION: The presentation is too short. The author should write technical details. 7) COMMENTS: I think this paper needs technical core. Especially, the performance is important on mathematical packages. --- On Mon, 04 Oct 1999 13:52:45 -0400 Geoffrey Fox wrote: > I got referee reports on C429 C435 but not C437 > Did you do this last one > Thank you > > Reply by Geoffrey Fox gcf@npac.syr.edu, http://www.npac.syr.edu, > Phone 3154432163(3154431723 npac central) Fax:3154434741 > --- Kazuaki Ishizaki IBM Japan, Tokyo Research Laboratory Mail : ishizaki@trl.ibm.co.jp TEL: ++81-46-273-4664, FAX: ++81-46-274-4282
