Video Client 1.3 Behavior

• Access to NPAC VOD database is through:

  • http://trurl.npac.syr.edu/bart/installvod.html

• Keyword search is case-sensitive

• You MUST choose in which field you are looking for keywords (e.g. Captions)

• NPAC VOD database content is under construction

• Random access works with MPEG only. H263 files can be randomly-accessed under following conditions:

  • fast processor
  • STOPPING video before seeking (PAUSING is not enough)
  • via links on caption text Web page
