2 Will SET replace SSL ? NO, there are virtually no technical similarities between SET and SSL, except that both use RSA public key cryptography
3 Is SET dead ? NO, it is just much more complex, advanced
4 Is SSL good enough for e-commerce ? NO, but it is being used
5 Does merchant know who the client is ? NO, credit card-over-SSL authenticate the identity of the server to the browser, but not vice versa; it can be done in SSL but clients have no certificates.
