9:15 a.m. Introductions and Logistics (Dan Reed and Anda Harney)

 

9:20 a.m. Meeting goals (Dan Reed)

The intent is to sketch the current situation with respect to funding and

deployment and to outline what we need to accomplish today. In

particular, to focus on identifying software deliverables and couplings to

AT teams.

 

9:30 a.m. Alliance intranet (Lex Lane)

A brief description of the state of the Alliance intranet deployment

(current content and plans) plus discussion

 

10:00 a.m. NCSA I/O software/hardware infrastructure (Jeff Terstriep)

An equally brief description of the current NCSA secondary and tertiary

storage infrastructure, together with current data mining technology.

 

10:30 a.m. Roundtable discussion

The goal is for each research group to identify current project state,

emphasizing software deliverables and current/planned technology

transfer.

 

Limit two slides per group

Multi-year deliverables and milestones (detailed in year one)

technology transfer

 

12:00 Box lunches and informal discussions

 

1:00 p.m. Discussion of plan and schedule (Dan Reed)

An attempt to merge the morning discussions into a coherent vision. We

will continue the roundtable if all groups have not yet finished.

 

2:00 p.m. Teleconference begins

3:00 p.m. Deployment teams and approaches (Charlie Catlett)

A brief presentation on the PACS discussion and observations from the

Team A and B discussions.
