ASC is the lead IE facilitator. Several program and non-program related, projects currently exist or are underway, that could possible be leveraged in implementing the IE infrastructure. The short term IE plan is to : 1.) Generally articulate basic IE functionality and requirements, 2.) Examine and assess existing tools, technologies, and HPCMP domain specific architectures, 3.) Refine requirements and generate a SOW based on #1 and #2, and 4.) Solicit and award an IE development contract. In order to properly get IE off the ground an "Information/Communication" technical advisor is needed, with a breath of knowledge in web, database, performance, scalability, and extensibility technologies, along with some familiarity with the HPCMP domain specific characteristics. The support would consist of a short window to accomplish above efforts 2 & 3 in an IE advisory role to ASC. The basic requirements (#1), are expected to be available within the next couple of weeks, (a partial list can be found at http://www.asc.hpc.mil/ie/documents.html, items 4-7). With your depth and breath of knowledge in this area, would you, or someone you know, be able to offer a "short suspense" turn around execution of efforts 2 & 3 ? Charlotte
