Machine configuration:

The machine has 168 Power 3 processors running at 375 Mhz, each with 1/2 Gbyte of memory.
There are two interactive nodes, each with four processors.
There is 3 Tbytes of disk space, and 40 Tbytes of archival storage.
Data is not backed up. Up until November 30th, users should not expect their data to be safe on the machine. They are responsible for their own backups.

There is documentation to complement the manual pages.

The following queues have been set up:

interactive: maximum of 40 nodes + the two interactive nodes, 30 hour time limit.
short: maximum of 162 nodes (full machine), 1 hour time limit.
medium: 30 nodes, 24 hours time limit
long: 10 nodes, 10 days time limit.

These queues are experimental and subject to change. User feedback is sollicited.

If your application is approved, we would request that all papers that result from work on the CSIT computer be provided in both electronic and paper form to CSIT personel for inclusion in the CSIT repository. Use of the computer must be acknowledged.

Please fill out this application form online; be as complete as possible. The application will then go through a review process.
