    • possibly integrate if results mature
  • concentrate of indexing via text, speech, annotation, time stamp
    • outside funding for video retrieval systems
  • perfect random access capabilities for all codecs
    • automatic random access via closed-caption completed
    • random access support for H.263 streams nearly completed
