1 The Illustra Server provides an extensible platform for storage and retrieval of objects.
2 Object extensions - DataBlades - plug intelligence into Illustra for specific kinds of data, extending the SQL language allowing to manage the data required by a specific application.
3 DataBlade modules can be self-contained or can take advantage of data types and functions defined by other DataBlade modules.
