1 Tablespace - a database is divided into logical storage units called tablespace
2 A tablespace is used to group related logical structure together
3 Tablespaces commonly group all of an application's objects to simplify certain administrative operations
4 It is Database Administrator (DBA)'s job to define tablespaces and assign them to users
