Foil 20 Web Interfaces for Computational Modules

From CEWES Year 3 Proposed NPAC Activitie CEWES End of Year 2 Review Vicksburg -- Feb 24-26 98. by David Bernholdt, Geoffrey C. Fox

General need for launching large-grain computations from simple web interface; often as part of larger computation where data flows between modules.
Can be implemented today using Java & CGI, but emerging technologies (CORBA, HLA, etc.) promise to be even more powerful.
Approach fits with NPAC's WebFlow technology for dynamic coupling problems, WebFlow also being linked to Globus metacomputing framework (NSF) and CORBA (ARL MSRC)
