Advantages :
  • compact, cross-platform, event-model etc.
  • efficient representation of complex data
  • navigation through a virtual environment
Limitations :
  • size and robustness of a virtual world
  • lack of client/server technologies for VRML author
  • inability to decouple application from it's logic
