Foil 5 Segmentation

1 Automatic segmentation is not possible on anatomical images.
2 Interactive, semiautomatic segmentation is time consuming (one man-year to segment 300 anatomical objects)
3 Algorithms ( histogramming, thresholding, edge enhancement)
4 Image volume must be segmented into its anatomical constituents.
5 Minimum distance classifier written in C on AVS.
6 Segmentation was also implemented in Java.
7 Bone tissue cannot be separated from anatomical images.
8 We must come back to CT images and do aligning of CT images and anatomy images.
