    • programmability: (1) scripting nodes, (2) External Authoring Interface (EIA)
    • TANGO supports both VRML programmability models
  • High-end 3D visualization support
    • Open Inventor Web-compliant 3D viewer
      • initially designed as terrain viewer, later generalized
      • fully collaborative, uses TANGO infrastructure
    • TANGO API for C++ applications
