1 There are two subclasses of Throwable
  • Error such as OutOfMemoryError which do NOT have to be caught as they are serious but unpredictable and could typically occur anywhere!
  • Exception which we have discussed
2 Exception has a subclass RuntimeException that need NOT be caught
3 Typical RuntimeException subclasses are
4 ArithmeticException, ClassCastException, IndexOutofBoundException
