Use of Tango falls into (at least) three types
  • 1) Distance Training including Tutorials and Seminars
  • 2) Scientific Project Management and Briefing
  • 3) Scientific Research
These require rather different tools - especially 3) which needs collaborative visualization and computing related tools.
2) requires more dynamic capabilities as roles of individuals will change
Need deployment plan including
  • Training strategy, Hardware (network and client) recommendations and certification
  • Documents describing recommended approaches to 1) 2) 3)

TangoInteractive is well understood in training and it is reasonably clear what to do here
  • several CTA's interested in using in their training
  • CPS640 course offered to Jackson State, Morgan State, Clark Atlanta
  • Seminars including those delivered to Adelphi
CCM and perhaps other CTA's interested in use to support multi MSRC and University PET team
  • Directors meetings also interested
No clear plan to use in collaborative computing?
  • Suggested use in IMT to enable distributed experts to support a test

Involve ASC in institutional support and requirements -- Identify point person analogous to Derek at ARL
