What are the students learning?
The students are learning that some of the questions that we ask in experimental particle physics are not so abstract and boring:
- How come that the world is made up of matter?
- How would we check that a visiting alien is not likely to annihilate us when he shakes our hands?
- ….
They are learning experimental techniques that will make them more at home in the complex technologies that will be more and more intertwined with every aspect of our society as we move into the 21st century.
