Some of the students already have two credits of experience credit at the present time. In conclusion, if students have more than 3 credits of CSE/CIS 670, then only three of those can be counted, and you will be paying for credits they cannot use towards their degrees. Here is an easy solution: I will forward fund the subcontract that you are going to give to us to support the students. So we can pay the students until the account is in place. In this way, students can take courses that are not Experience Credit and they can be counted towards their program of study. Any e-mail you send next week should be sent directly to me with a copy to Maureen since Maureen will be on vacation. I will be out of the country beginning on Thursday, 8/16/01 and will not be back in my office until Thursday, 8/23/01. We need to decide what you're going to do before I leave. Have a nice weekend. Geoffrey,

In reference to the part of your e-mail appended below (Curricular Practical Training), I would like to make you aware that a student can include a total of only 3 credits of Experience Credit (CSE 670 or CIS 670) in all their programs at Syracuse University,

Therefore, if a student is pursuing an M.S. and a Ph.D. at S.U., for which they would need 90 credits total beyond the B.S. degree, they can include only three credits total of Experience Credit among these 90 credits.

Any e-mail you send next week should be sent directly to me <hartmann@ecs.syr.edu> with a copy to Maureen <mmarano@ecs.syr.edu> since Maureen will be on vacation.

I will be out of the country beginning on Thursday, 8/16/01 and will not be back in my office until Thursday, 8/23/01.  We need to decide what you're going to do before I leave.

Have a nice weekend.

Carlos
