As I said at our faculty meeting, I know this is an extremely tight timeline, but that is what we have been given. The chancellor needs these priorities then so as to feed them to the committee she is creating so as to give the committee time enough to request proposals of the schools based on their selection from these priorities. She wants to use the proposals as the basis for funding decisions for the next academic year. Remember there is real money on the table because of the extra $1000 tuition charged each freshman beginning next fall. We need to make cases for some of it. =20 All I need is a 1 page (at most) description of the kinds of things we discussed at the faculty meeting, or that I have talked to some of you individually about who were not at the meeting. A good idea, why the time is right, why we are in a good position to do it, how it will make a definite improvement in academic quality (especially as judged externally), and what funding opportunities it might open (if there are some). =20 Thanks. =20 --Mike =20 ------_=_NextPart_001_01C26359.04C2D36C Content-Type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
