There is the possibility of a major rescission in funding at the HPCMP, which would effect the PET program. The government leads and the MOS leadership will be working to place the PET program in the best position to withstand any possible cuts. One effort will be to expedite contracts and invoicing so that most of the current contract year funds will have been spent before any action is taken. Although you will not be directly effected by this action, please be of any assistance you can to help with this effort. Any effort to help speed up the invoicing process will be greatly appreciated. Once again, there is no need to be alarmed at the present time. However, the government is looking for funds for Homeland Security, and PET is one of the programs with a substantial amount of unspent money. Will update you when I hear anything definite. PET Component 3 Leads,

I am not sending this out to alarm, but to make ev eryone aware of what is going on with
the PET program.  There is the possibility o f a major rescission in funding at the HPCMP,
which would effect the PET program.  The gov ernment leads and the MOS leadership
will be working to place the PET program in the b est position to withstand any possible cuts.
One effort will be to expedite contracts and invo icing so that most of the current contract
year funds will have been spent before any action is taken.  Although you will not be
directly effected by this action, please be of an y assistance you can to help with this effort.
Any effort to help speed up the invoicing process will be greatly appreciated.

Once again, there is no need to be alarmed at the present time.  However, the government
is looking for funds for Homeland Security, and P ET is one of the programs with a substantial
amount of unspent money.

Will update you when I hear anything definite.

Thanks,
Wayne
