I learned that Vanderbilt does not hold personnel clearances or a facility clearance, and doesn't intend to. Ken is in the process of trying to set up an Institute for Space & Military Electronics which will be housed off-campus and loosely tied to the university. He intends for personnel clearances and the facility clearance to be held by a third party (such as Draper Labs). They don't really know yet if all that is going to be acceptable to organizations like DTRA. I don't think all that helps us much, but it's kind of nice to know that others are in the same boat.
