1. met with ko. he will introduce nippon steel to me if i go to japan =
when he is out there later this month.  nippon steel could be a =
distributor.

2. met with ray ashton. he's impressed with the demo and with the =
productivity. he's interested in the career opportunity.  ray was ex-VP =
at Nortel.  he has broad network in communication and computer =
industries and very impressive sales and business development track =
records.  weakness is no direct fortune 1000 rolodex. =20

3. met with health care elearning subsidiary.  he found our LMS needs a =
lot of work to catch up. he likes virtual classroom but not his priority =
at this point. he likes wireless pda too.  we are not completely out of =
the opportunity. i still want him to license our LMS. deal size could be =
at the $100-200K level licensing pre-paid in early December. that will =
be our saviour. he will come to anabas when he goes to docent to =
continue negotiation for oem licensing. i ask him to come before i take =
my trip to asia after mid-Nov.

what will improve our chance from the current 40% to 80% is the =
following:
- adaptive learning plan  -- a must and high priority item for him.

my assessment is that a demo of such a feature suffice for now until =
they license from us. before we do this, i will look at priorities =
again. but here's the feature:

on student's page add an adaptive learning plan under my courses. the =
learning plan should replace my courses by subsuming it in the future. =
the feature is actually related to pre-requisite and completion =
conditions at the document level (each document is a self-contained =
learning module equivalent to a session in their lingual). conceptually, =
i believe each learning module in LMS should have two parts. one is the =
synchronous part and the other is the asynchronous part.  basically, one =
hour of live lecture generates x-hours of self and asynchronous =
learning.  now, back to the feature.  pre-requisite and completion =
condition is integrated with pre-test and post-test.

so, integration of our CourseBuilder at the session (document in their =
lingual) level with our test facility will serve their adaptive learning =
plan well. we could assume there is someone to create the plan and the =
content so that to the student, it appears adaptive as a consequence of =
taking pre- and post test. they have 120 people developing courses.
