For those of you who were not at the NCSA meeting in May, the rumor there is that the winners are all hardware companies (IBM, HP, SGI, Cray, and Sun), and that the real objective of the proposal was the construction of a new generation of supercomputer. To my knowledge, the winners have still not been announced, however. Thanks for all the work you put in on this. We will continue to look for appropriate funding opportunities in the area of high performance computing and if anything appropriate comes up, I'll will let you know.
