On Monday we realized we had failed to organize the response to fit the three tasks in the announcement. These are Industry R&D, Technology Components, and Application Analysis. This wasn't much of a problem, but the restructuring did end up changing the emphasis on the parts. At this point we have 22 pages of response with an 18 page limit and we have a few more boilerplate pages to add. The big problem is the place where we have included most of the concepts you sent us. This is budgeted to be 6 pages and it is now 11. So we may end up rewriting your ideas in our words. We are going to lock down the document at noon on Monday. Sometime today, or perhaps tomorrow morning, we will send you what we have and ask that you check your contribution. This may mean trimming what you sent us to fit a word limit, or it may mean reviewing our rewrite to be sure it says what it should. You will also want to review the work statement, deliverables, and milestone sections to see if there are any problem from your perspective. The most disagreeable part is that we are offering to have four of the white papers done by the fourth month after the contract award. So if the award is in June, some people need to have a paper ready by September. We have waffled on which papers. We are asking that you complete your review with in 24 hours of receiving the draft. This means sending your corrections in by 8:00 Saturday morning. The total proposal looks very good to us, I hope you will agree.
