To obtain the products included within the university contact you would want to contact the administrator on campus (probably IS Dept). However, I would recommend we do a 20 minute concall with one of my technical consultants to review your project(s) and the Oracle components which suit each respective project. This will help provide you a better understanding of our technologies and us a better understanding of your project needs. There are several upcoming technology sessions cover the products you mentioned but I think it would be more beneficial to you for us to touch base and not overload you. Let me know if you have 20 minutes tomorrow (Wednesday) or Thursday to touch base? Please advise and I will confirm with my technical consultant. Thanks, Mary Geoffrey Fox wrote: > So I am interested in Oracle 9i (Database and Application Server) > for both "central" (Sun), wireless(PDA) and laptop (Lite) applications > > I have two major projects funded by federal government which can use > your technology. Be sure to state the specific version of the Oracle media that you want, for example: Oracle Enterprise Edition 9i for Solaris 8, 32 bit, ... Also provide your contact information and indicate that this is for the Pervasive Computing Labs. IU does have a license agreement with Oracle, that the UITS DBA Team administers. Since you are part of UITS (the Pervasive Computing project), there will be no charge to your workgroup. For support questions, you may also contact UITS Data Management Support at dms@indiana.edu. Or, see our DMS Oracle web pages: http://www.indiana.edu/~dms/databases/oracle/ I have copied Therese Miller and David Ripley on this message. We have received several requests for Oracle media from the Pervasive Computing Labs in the last few months. My hope is that this message will keep everyone involved with your labs' use of Oracle informed. If you have any questions, let me know.
