I have received an offer to join the ACL group at Los Alamos and am about to sign on. You did have a hand in it, because during my interview, someone made a comment about a remark you made, saying that my spiel/slant sounded very similar in concept, which apparently gave (my) remark a great deal of credibility. Thank you for teaching me well, or, better, for preparing the ground so that my ideas might flourish. I hope that we can talk again; I am certain that our paths will cross. At any rate, thank you for your support. Dear Geoffrey,
A lot has happened since I contacted you earlier this summer and asked
for support in getting out of here.  I have received an offer to join the
ACL group at Los Alamos and am about to sign on.  You did have a hand in it,
because during my interview, someone made a comment about a remark you made,
saying that my spiel/slant sounded very similar in concept, which apparently
gave (my) remark a great deal of credibility.  Thank you for teaching me well,
or, better, for preparing the ground so that my ideas might flourish.
I hope that we can talk again; I am certain that our paths will cross.  At
any rate, thank you for your support.
