When I first skimed through this piece, I thought you were trying to describe the Division D approach. Now that I read more carefully, I see that is a more general approach. I like it very much and am working on some similar lines in a current project. Any chance you could come to Champaign to discuss. I am buried in preparing for the Industrial Program Annual meeting and would not be able to get to FSU until mid-June. Surprisingly enough I actually have extra funds on this project. Front-end suggestion looks sound to me. Proposed project would not start until August, but I can fund your summer effort out of current funds., see above. Send me a number for the summer work; I will declare it is too damn big; and then we can get on with it. More seriously, send me a paragraph and a budget number, and I will get out accounting office working on it. I hear from Jim that the FSU side is not very competent. I am thinking about the new project being one year. We will know if hat project is funded by early summer. Will that be enough lead time for the student funding? This is looking more interesting as we explore; always a good sign. This could also be used as part of PET2 start-up process assuming we win ASC! So I see front end would be this summer roughly where I can use some funding for myself with student coming on in fall and perhaps starting in summer. How long is this effort. Is one year too long?
