Subject: HTTP Proxy Support From: "John Yin" Date: Thu, 21 Jun 2001 21:27:03 -0700 To: "Alex Ho" , "Geoffrey Fox" , "Edurado Cervant" CC: "James Poelke" , Well some not so good news. Tried HTTP proxy support through HP and failed. End result is that I believe SonicMQ does not support the Proxy type that HP uses .... there was a low level protocol error. WebEx and Centra both work through HP. Some additional notes on WebEx & Centra experience: WebEx ------ * Seem to have meeting collisions. I logged in and there were 2 users names aron in the meeting. I've seen this once before as well with an unknown user joining the meeting. * There was a billing error at the end of the meeting with which meeting I was billed for. * Experience the random window maximization problem * No longer have Internet Audio. Says they are looking at options. Centra ------- * Audio also worked through the Proxy * 8 bit color shared display so there was discoloration in the sharing. I think HTTP Proxy Tunneling should be the first priority. Do any of you know people who are at large companies that use HTTP Proxy? I would like to do a compare against a range of companies with different proxies & configuration with our current solution. John Yin VP Engineering Anabas, Inc. TEL: (408)441-8803 FAX: (408)441-8802
