Why?

Why are there people starving?
Why can't the more fortunate help the less?
Why do we let children know hunger?

We have food we can give
We have money that we spend on the useless 
We have things to give

Some do give, but most don't
We use and consume
Ignoring the less fortunate

Why don't give a little away?
Why do we not help?
Why do we turn a blank eye?

We ignore what we can
Say that we can't do it
We don't know the people

Look at the kids we know 
Imagine them with nothing
Imagine them starving 

Is it the way we are raised?
Is it the media?
Is it human nature?

Is it the way humans are?
Can we change or do we have to stay the same?
Why can't we give a little to others?
