The pointer layer has no security problems as you make certain it is in "your directory" In any cae, if you take existing shared browsers they solve security problem by signed scripts Mine has structure with one frame being page of interest I think this is only way of capturing foreign events in JS Capturing with a signed script in another frame or window fails I will add pointer option to signed script in JS shared browser This shared browser should for instance give immediately shared cursor for LecCorder, PPT assistant web export with trivial filter An interesting option which I can use for WebWisdom(NT) as whole page at my comand is: Pointer HTML or Images And you can write cleaner code as asynchronity of frames gone DHTML certainly will produce more elegant powerful systems with usual huge start up (as you say -- many things don't work!) but I think it is clear how to clean up WebWisdom and offer better shared browser with shared cursor option (only works between same O/s types for HTML as SGI and windows layout different for text. It is not different for PPT images of course and should always work here Reply by Geoffrey Fox gcf@npac.syr.edu, http://www.npac.syr.edu, Phone 3154432163(3154431723 npac central) Fax:3154434741
