WebWisdom.org is a new virtual University offering classes at all ranges of the education and training spectrum. WebWisdom.org currently highlights courses in advanced computer science at the continuing education and corporate training level. The courses are given by NPAC -- the Northeast Parallel Architectures Center at Syracuse University. They have been offered at the University, to Department of Defense laboratories, and internationally to China. Currently, the university prototype stores over 15,000 curricula pages in over 400 presentations. These products are basis of the WebWisdom.org virtual learning center.

WebWisdom.org features distance education using advanced technologies from universities and companies, including its companion commercial organization WebWisdom.com.

WebWisdom.org offers two types of services:

Graduate and continuing education Courses available are at leading edge and are electronic versions of popular Syracuse University offerings. They are packaged as Computing for the Future certificates and include:

NPAC has been working with the Living SchoolBook K-12 Web learning project with the local school districts and University's School of Education. From this, WebWisdom.org will bring electronic collaboration, novel VRML based virtual field trips through New York state, and Java classes for middle and high school children. Undergraduate education activities are pioneered by the Syracuse University Physics department and include Web based general science curricula and interactive Java applets teaching fundamental physics principles.

WebWisdom.org welcomes other tenants of its virtual classrooms and will work with them in choosing appropriate delivery and authoring, and in training for teachers and students. WebWisdom.org will feature both nonprofit and commercial delivery of curricula.
