Title:		Modular Collaborative Environment

Objective:

As part of this effort, we intend to look again at commercial desktop
conferencing. We intend to install and test the Access Grid system
developed by Argonne National Laboratory and deployed widely in the
NCSA Alliance.

Accomplishments:

Here we need to evaluate new technology from the Argonne/NCSA Alliance
developers of the Access Grid. As they now have a smaller unit, our
current strategy is to install two units at FSU (One high-end and one
low-end) as the CSIT school is split between first and fourth
floors. We also intend to include this capability as part of our
"Terascale Access Portal" which are designing for modular deployment
to (FSU) user groups. This enhancement will not require more ERDC
funds and will make it a lot easier for us to test the use of the
system.
