* Mark Baker represented NPAC at the Kick-Off Meeting
* Geoffrey Fox submitted a technology bulletin on the use of Java and
  web technology in Simulation and Modeling
* Nancy McCracken presented two training courses on-site at CEWES
* David Bernholdt visited CEWES to discuss FMS activities with
  researchers there.
* David Bernholdt attended the DoD HPC User's Group Meeting in Urbana
  Illinois
* Marek Podgorny and Konrad Olszewski presented NPAC's Tango project
  at the Collaboration Colloquium.  Tango will form the base for
  several Year 2 Focused Efforts lead by Syracuse.
* Geoffrey Fox also participated in the Collaboration Colloquium and
  in high-level talks with CEWES management.
* Contract signed 20 March 1997
* NPAC hosted a visit by the CEWES management team, including
  extensive discussions of NPAC research efforts which might be
  leveraged by the CEWES PET program. (See below)
