The DoubleTree Hotel, with its elegant Spanish
Colonial architecture and beautiful lush interior atrium, is a
genuine Austin landmark. There are 350 beautifully appointed rooms,
all with generous work areas. The DoubleTree's luxurious Concierge
Level rooms offer every imaginable amenity, including complimentary
continental breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres served Sunday

Corporation, the HHonors Point Program is now available to all
DoubleTree guests.
The hotel, at 6505 IH 35 North, is 5 minutes north of downtown
Austin, the Capitol, the University of Texas, and the 6th Street
Entertainment District. The new Austin Bergstrom International
Airport is located 12 miles southeast of the DoubleTree. In
addition, the hotel is near the North Austin technology corridor
that includes Dell Computer, Fisher-Rosemount, Applied Materials,
Motorola, Compaq, IBM, and Apple Computer.

- To make a reservation at the conference hotel, call the
DoubleTree at 1-512-454-3737.
- When reserving a room, reference the group name "DoD User
Group Conference."
- Hotel room rates will be set at government per diem for both
government personnel and contractors.
- The hotel room rate is flat $80 for up to four people.
- An energy fee of $3 per night will be charged.
- A block of rooms for the conference will be held until
5/19/02. After this date, rooms will be released for rental to
other customers.
- Conference attendees may register after this date at the
prevailing room rate.
- Room reservations must be guaranteed by credit card.
- Guests' credit cards will not be charged until check out.
- Reservations must be canceled by 4 p.m., 24 hours before the
day of arrival or the first night of stay will be charged.
- Check-in is 3 p.m. and checkout time is 12 p.m. Guests
arriving before 3 p.m. will be accommodated based on availability.
- Guest Services can arrange to check baggage for those arriving
early when rooms are not available and for guests attending
functions on their day of departure. The hotel will not guarantee
early check-in. Rooms not vacated by 12 p.m. on the day of
departure will be subject to a late checkout fee.
- Parking fees at the hotel are $7 for self-parking and $9 for
valet parking. Non-hotel guests will be charged $7 for parking.
- A hotel fee will not be charged for credit card calls from the
room. Local calls will be charged.
- Use of the hotel exercise room is free.
- If conference attendees have packages shipped to the hotel,
they must notify the hotel 14 days in advance. The hotel needs the
name of the group and the date of the program. Shipments must
arrive no more than 3 days before event.
- The hotel will provide a cash bar and complimentary hors
d'oeuvres for the poster reception on Tuesday night.
- Thursday night, the hotel will provide a 55-passenger motor
coach for the group's transportation to/from the downtown 6th
Street/Warehouse entertainment district. The shuttle will run
continuously from 5:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
- The hotel is in complete compliance with requirements imposed
by the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Hotel Motel Fire
Safety Act.
