1 Library routines do not directly communicate to other processes. Instead, they send commands to the local daemon and receive status information back.
2 Can be installed in user filespace - default location is $HOME/pvm3/lib.
3 External Data Representation (XDR) format conversion is performed automatically between hosts of different architectures. This is the default.
