2 Typically multiple queues, each being appropriate for different types of job - for example:
  • - Homogeneous, used to service parallel jobs, - Powerful server for CPU intensive jobs, - Jobs that need a rapid turnaround.
3 The number of possible queue configurations will depend on the profile of the typical throughput of jobs on the system being managed.
