1 Objective is to increase the through-put of user applications by utilising the wealth of existing networked computing resources efficiently and effectively together.
2 Ecourage collaboration between groups using MetaWeb.
3 Truly heterogeneous, capable of managing resources ranging from PCs to vector/MPP supercomputers.
4 Capability will be based on the use of pervasive WWW software and take advantage of Java architecturally neutral ByteCode.
