  • LDAP information model (defines kind of data)
  • LDAP naming model
  • LDAP functional model
  • LDAP security model
LDAP provides:
  • Access and Security (authorization and authentication info)
  • Network Resources (hosts, file servers, printers)
  • Currently supported services: NIS, NIS+, DNS
