2 Cascading Style Sheets (CSS1) allow more precise and consistent layout than previous HTML attributes such as <FONT>
3 Style sheets permit pages to inherit properties from other pages--in effect, they permit object-oriented document structure
4 CSS2 was released in May 98, and includes support for media-specific style sheets (e.g. printers and aural devices), downloadable fonts, element positioning and tables.
