MEETING SPECIFICS -
- Our speaker is John Lee, Web TV Evangelist, WebTV Networks, Inc. John will cover:
- How will Web TV change who uses the Internet and the Web? Will this bring a whole new type of user with different needs, expectations, browsing habits, usage patterns, purchasing power and habits?
- Does this mean we will have to rethink how we design and develop Internet / Web content and sites, promotional activities, financial models?
- Will this alter the type of businesses that will be our customers for Internet / Web services? Will our customers demand changes in the way we develop their Internet / Web presence?
- The meeting will be conducted in "virtual" mode. We will have Web TV live on "big screen". John will be talking to us from his office in California over a live telephone link. In addition to answering the important questions we have posed ( see above ) John will demonstrate Web TV and answer any questions you may have. John is a developer and can address our technical questions, as well.
- Good news!!! Our own "pastry and snack chef" will make the trip to New Paltz with us. So, we will not skip a beat in our quest to add weight to our MASC members.
