PetaSIM and Detailed simulators such as Csim and howsim would need one to specify target machines for them
PetaSIM is aimed at exploratory design and will support broad class of architectures including those from Petaflop initiative
howsim supports SP2 and Alpha cluster
Detailed simulators can both validate approach and suggest good primitives for high level approach
Our PCRC and Runtime compilation experience will be used in designing primitives
Application emulators are real languages but stripped of detail
- Hallmark of our work is full structure of applications including I/O, linked components, code migration, Web linkage etc.
