1 We discuss a multi tier (Gateway) approach to HPCC and how this allows appropriate use of ideas from both high performance and enterprise Intranet communities.
2 We introduce the Pragmatic Object Web (POW)
3 We give examples of using WebFlow and JWORB with Globus and show this gives natural integration of CORBA into HPCC
4 We discuss Problem Solving Environments and Java Framework for Computing
5 The use of HLA/RTI as control of a bunch of workstations is recommended
6 We describe Java Grande as an effort to bring better software tools to HPCC
